Tooth decay (cavities) is the most common chronic childhood disease. It hurts... and affects a child’s ability to eat, sleep, play, learn, and feel self-confident. Fortunately, it can be prevented. Brushing two times a day with fluoride toothpaste, starting with the first baby tooth, can help!
Toothbrushing is an important part of the child care day. Recent new NC Guidelines on the toothbrushing process for infants/toddlers and preschoolers is the basis of this entertaining, informative, free training course.
This training course features a step-by-step guide for both infant/toddler and preschool classrooms:
- preparing to brush
- brushing
- cleaning up after brushing
The course includes sanitation rules, the correct amount of safe and healthy fluoride toothpaste (by children’s age), tips on positioning, and how to make brushing fun.
